Navigate to the copy of your 7 Days to Die install with AOO installed.
Go to Steam at the top of the Window and choose Add a non-steam game. Setup Steam to see this Copy of 7 Days to Die You can also do it individually, but you don’t have to for a new install of the mod.
Drag and drop the Mods folder and Data folder into a blank white space outside in your game copy.
Go into your new copy of 7 Days to Die.
I use 7 Days To Die AOO for this example.
Once it is done copying, rename the folder to whatever you like.
This will create a copy of your 7 Days to Die Install.
Right click outside of the folders and choose Paste.
Now right click on your Vanilla 7 Days to Die folder and choose Copy.
This is usually C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ but it could be another folder like my setup.
Open up File Explorer (the folder icon) and go to your steam install directory where your 7 Days to Die folder is located.
Make a Copy of your 7 Days to Die Installīeing able to keep my different modded games separate from each other is important to me, so first I make a copy of my Vanilla 7 Days to Die install.
You should see a window with the Data and Mods folder.
Open the downloaded zip file in your zip program of choice.
This will let you download the latest build.
This is how I do it, but if you wish to just install it into your main install of 7 Days to Die that is fine.Just know that if you install it into your main 7 Days to Die install, it could get corrupted/removed/broken with any update The Fun Pimps pushes to the main game.
